Potter: Copeland Spode

Biography

Spode is not known as a producer of Tea Leaf decorated wares.  The dinnerware found with Tea Leaf motifs and marked Copeland-Spode, England, may have been decorated by another firm on Spode blanks.  The mark used dates from 1920 to 1957, but was likely produced in 1934.  An impressed "34" is also found on examples of Spode Tea Leaf.
