Description:

The phoenix bird mark on a known sugar bowl reads J. Clementson while a pitcher is marked Clementson Brothers. Arnold Kowalsky points out that "Many prior Joseph Clementson shapes were reissued by his sons."

The ring-handled shape is consistent with styles of the 1850s, but the mark on a known pitcher indicates a later production date.
